So I got to thinking about what would be one of my favorite songs for summertime heat if I had one whole day to sit back in a lawn chair with a tiny fan and sip cocktails all day long? 

Probably this one on a giant old school boombox.  It makes a great ringtone by the way.

The Weekend

It is here and it's a busy one coming up.  A friend's wedding, studio time spent working the press, and other things that I'm sure will make it go by fast.  Hope everyone out there has a great one! 

So since I've spent the past couple of Fridays posting some of my favorite songs, I thought why should I quit now?  I didn't want to subject you all to posting any Abba videos since that Mamma Mia commercial has been running oh just about every 5 minutes.  So instead I give you Erasure.  I miss bands like this.  When they made songs that were pretty much all dance-worthy.  Even the sad ones!

What's your favorite disco song?

This is definitely mine with Amii Stewart high kicks and all.  "Watch for the bloke in the white shirt who stops dancing when she stops!"  And then there's the guy in the orange jumpsuit that looks like a disco fruit rollup.  Happy Friday everyone! It is now August.

What happens in Vegas...

Will most likely not be posted here.  I've signed an actual contract.  Press play button above now.  Trust me.  It sets the mood.

So here I am signing off early to prepare for my "girls attack Vegas" trip this weekend.  It's for a bachelorette party (not mine silly!) and we're staying at The Venetian (mamma mia!) in a huge suite.  I'm pretty much going to be holed up at various spas for the most part along with putting in some good mileage shopping.  If only I could afford the cabana boy...

Also, I'm the first one in our group who arrives early which means I get to do a running high dive on the first bed I see.  Hopefully I'll land squarely in the center and not on the floor.  Viva Las Vegas!!!

July 4th

Nothing pleases Jon more than a good old-fashioned sparkler.  I mean who really needs a professional fireworks show when you can just have your boyfriend run around someone else's yard with a single sparkler in hand?  Here's hoping everyone out there got a chance to look this excited while celebrating America!
