Perfumed hallways and luxurious bedding

Staying at The Venetian hotel this past weekend made me want to talk like Robin Leach so that I could perfectly describe what our stay was like at this awesome palace known as a "hotel". By the way, the hotel really did have perfumed hallways and after experiencing this I really wish every hotel would do this.  It actually really helped when we were walking back through the smoky casino.  Also, the piped in opera music was very calming.

We had an awesome time hanging out in Vegas and it was super fun to be in a large group of girls and getting treated like VIP's. We ate, we cocktailed, we danced, I gambled and won, we sang!  I have to say that I'm honestly not a huge fan of Vegas, but this was the best time I'd ever had and it makes me want to go back for more for no apparent reason to just be able to lay by a pool and sip cocktails while someone spritzes me with perfumed air. This never actually happened, but I'll bet you that the "priority" button we had on our hotel room phone could probably make it happen.  A girl can dream.

Walking down the hallways was one of my favorite things to do.  Here are some quick pics I took while trying really hard not to look like a tourist.

And the cab waiting area below with the mist was gorgeous.

And the spa where I got the best pedicure ever.  They really had the nicest hotel staff here.

My only complaint?  It all went by too fast.  As much as I missed home, I think I could have stayed just one more day.  We all very reluctantly said goodbye to our beautiful suite with it's sunken living room.

And then we flew home.

Auntie Betsy!

Betsy Johnson helped me pick out a new travel bag yesterday afternoon.  I mean she really is the new Auntie Mame, isn't she?  I would like to be a little orphan girl so that I may be adopted by her thank you very much.

Ok, so my new travel bag is big, red in a bright, glossy obscene way and I loves it!  I took it on the bus ride home with me after picking it up at Nordstrom and people were afraid.  I thought bringing it back to work with me (shopping on your lunch hour - try it sometime) would be a bit too much.  I wish I could show it here actual size, but this will do for now.

New bag
I'm taking it to my upcoming trip to Vegas and then to Vancouver to go see Madonna.  I might wear this bracelet on both trips to frighten the locals.  Anyone out there know any leads on good mumus, write me asap.  That is all for now.

Daydreaming of Paris on a Friday

Versailles

Walkway

If I could, I would go back to this spot in Versailles again and again.  Hope everyone has a happy weekend!  Pictures are from our Paris trip last year.

Paris and the Metro

We just got back last night from our trip to Paris.  It was exhausting, incredibly fun, and I can't wait to visit again. There were many moments spent in the metro going from point A to point B, but this group was by far the most entertaining out of all the performers we happened to run in to.  If the Paris metro had theme background music, this would most definitely be it.

Paris

We leave for Paris this Wednesday.  I might be updating with photos, but we'll see after I have my first bite of French baguette.  If anyone has recommendations for sightseeing, please let us know!
